In addition, Rahm plans to seek advice from fellow Spaniard and two-time Masters champion, Jose Maria Olazabal. “I also want to talk to Ollie, because we’re from the same part of Spain, to see what he did in his dinner and see if I can go a different route,” Rahm said.

The tradition of Champions Dinner at the Masters

The Champions Dinner is a long-standing tradition at the Masters, where the previous year’s winner hosts a dinner for past champions. The defending champion chooses the menu, which can feature a wide range of dishes. It is a unique opportunity for the defending champion to showcase their culinary tastes and traditions. Over the years, the menu has included everything from classic Southern fare like fried chicken and collard greens to international dishes like sushi and paella.

Given Rahm’s Spanish heritage, it’s no surprise that he plans to include Jamon in his menu. However, there is some concern that his dishes could be too spicy for some diners. At this year’s dinner, Scottie Scheffler’s tortilla soup received some criticism for being too hot.
