The State Championship match took place on March 1, 2025, when Benjamin High School played against Lakeland Christian. Until half-time, junior Woods’s team was falling behind with a 1-0 score. However, the intense match took a turn in the second half as the team with the leadership of Sam Woods conquered victory by 2-1.

Sam Woods, the biggest support system of Tiger Woods

Apart from the great career that the golfer has accomplished with his most PGA Tour wins, career earnings, and consecutive cuts made. There has been constant support from his daughter on and off the course. At the PNC Championship, the father-son duo was being supported by Sam Woods as a caddie. Well, this is just one instance. In life’s rough phases, it was Sam who braced him.

Back in the days when the Big Cat struggled through the separation phase with his better half, Elin Nordengren. Woods was open to sharing his feelings with his daughter. He said in 2015, “Guys, the reason why we’re not in the same house, why we don’t live under the same roof, Mommy and Daddy, is because Daddy made some mistakes.”

Even with the demise of Kultida Woods, it was her daughter’s great accomplishment that brought back the happiness in the life of the golfer. Notably, Woods named Sam after his father. “My father had always called me Sam since the day I was born. He rarely ever called me Tiger. I would ask him, ‘Why don’t you ever call me Tiger?’ He says, ‘Well, you look more like a Sam,” he shared the conversation with his father in 2007.

With the recent images, it brings joy to the golf world to see the legendary golfer coping with the huge loss of his mother. Hope to see him continue with the positive in his upcoming presence at the PGA Tour events.
