The Masters Tournament is very close to its arrival scheduled from Apr 6–9, 2023. And fans from all across the world are excited to watch their favorite players on the field. However, with the entire LIV Golf controversy, the tournament is expected to showcase a new competitive attitude among professionals. But there is one thing that is currently bothering fans – Will they see Tony Finau in the tournament?
Will Tony Finau play at the 2023 Masters?
Tony Finau, 33, gained popularity through numerous memorable PGA tour performances. However, there are several other players who are ahead of the golfer on the OWGR leaderboard. But that has not affected his loyalty towards the PGA Tour. Despite several rumors of him getting huge offers from LIV Golf, the golfer decided to stick to his legacy over everything else. However, he mentioned that he misses his fellow players, especially Brooks Koepka, who has shifted to the Saudi League.

But despite him being on the PGA Tour, fans are currently trying to figure out if they’ll catch some action from the player at the 2023 Masters Tournament. According to the qualification criteria, all previous year champions are invited to participate in the prestigious event. However, there are several other ways for professionals to qualify. And one of them is to have an exemption for individual PGA Tour winners with a full-point allocation for the season-ending Tour Championship. Luckily, Finau meets that requirement!

With his consistent victories at the 3M Open as well as the Rocket Mortgage Classic in July 2022, the golfer qualifies for the 2023 Masters with flying colors. Moreover, he also scored a remarkable victory at the Houston Open in November last year. Therefore, Finau has definitely received his invite for the upcoming $15,000,000 tournament!

However, his decision to appear at the Masters is still in his hands. Unlike some other PGA Tour players, the golfer might not be comfortable being face-to-face with his rival LIV Golf stars.
