After a thrilling end to the Hoag Classic last week, the PGA Tour Champions stars will head to Mirage, California for the Galleri Classic. With some of the best golfers competing in the highly anticipated tournament, how much prize money will the winner of the Senior Tour event take back home?

The Galleri Classic will take place in Mission Hills Country Club – Dinah Shore Tournament Course from March 24- 26. The 54-hole tournament will have no cut-line policy. While the legends may feel relaxed about not worrying about missing the cut, they will also enjoy a decent prize money.

The winner’s payout, purse, and more details about the Galleri Classic

The PGA Tour Champions announced the Galleri Classic last year, and the tournament is currently taking place for the first time ever. It will also mark the first Senior Tour event in Coachella Valley since 1993. Nonetheless, the tournament will have 78 participants, with Bernhard Langer eyeing his historic 46th Champions Tour win.

A win on Sunday will crown Langer with the most wins on the PGA Tour Champions, outshining Hale Irwin’s 45 wins. The field in California will also be headlined by Miguel Angel Jimenez, Steve Stricker, and many more. The purse for the Galleri Classic is set at $2.2 million with the winner bagging home the standard 15 percent of the total purse, which will amount to $330,000.

It is the sixth event of the season, with the winner also enjoying points for the PGA Tour Champions finale – Charles Schwab Classic. Nonetheless, the players won’t earn any OWGR points since the Senior Tour does not offer ranking points in its tournaments. Regardless, the winner of the ongoing event will enjoy a six-figure cheque, along with the other top-5 finishers. With no cut-line policy, how much will all 78 players earn?
