There was a trend where golfers started wearing joggers on the golf courses. Spiranac has always been particular about the golf course dress code. She believes in wearing whatever the heart wants and stays real. The 29 year old loved the rising trend of joggers on the golf course, but it got ruined for her. She tweeted, “After much thought, I’ve decided I’m no longer a fan of joggers on the golf course.”

The PGA Tour winner was the reason for her dislike. During the Travelers Championship in 2020, Mickelson grabbed everybody’s attention with his choice of sunglasses, and people loved it. But his next step did not receive much acceptance from the fans. He wore jogger-style golf trousers on the golf course, which got a mixed reaction. The fans did not like it much, especially Spiranac.

Spiranac comes for Mickelson

The incident above was not the first time she took a dig at Mickelson. The former PGA tour member criticized PGA for its various aspects and backed up the rival LIV Golf. But he later issued a public apology, which, according to the internet sensation, was the worst apology. 

Spiranac talked about it in her podcast and pointed out that his apology started with calling himself a victim. This wasn’t an appropriate apology that everyone deserved. Even though Mickelson is a huge personality and might have appointed big PR companies, the ex-golfer could not wrap her head around the fact that the PR companies approved such an apology. Because Mickelson never took any responsibility for his actions.
