The controversial tussle between Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods’ caddie Joe LaCava doesn’t seem to be leaving the headlines. The two had a spat during the Ryder Cup. Tiger Woods’ former caddie was on Patrick Cantlay‘s bag.

The scuffle has now gotten old but the wounds are still not healed, it seems. The end of the caddie-player partnership between LaCava and Woods was on a positive note and both still hold the highest regard for each other. The recent field announced for Tiger Woods’ Hero World Challenge gives a hint that the Ryder Cup tussle is still stretching on!

Joe LaCava had something to do with Rory McIlroy being left out?

The Hero World Challenge is an annual golf competition organized by Tiger Woods. It is held in December and it showcases a select group of highly ranked pro golfers. The event also serves as a fundraising event for the Tiger Woods Foundation.

The field for this event was recently announced and one of the top names from the world of golf was missing. This was Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy’s name. Other prominent names were all in attendance.

The social media is buzzing after NUCLR Golf page tweeted the field. The buzz is primarily around the speculation if McIlroy was left out intentionally after his rift with Tiger Woods’ former caddie.

The tussle between the two might have been short-lived but its repercussions are still visibly present in the golfing world to this day.

What went down at the infamous parking lot?

During a Ryder Cup golf match, there was a big argument between golfer Rory McIlroy and Patrick Cantlay’s caddie Joe LaCava. LaCava celebrated for a little too long over Cantlay’s birdie while Rory McIlroy was still lining up his putt. The putt that didn’t end in the desired fashion would’ve tied the match. This was the reason behind the tussle that then carried onto the parking lot as well.

They argued on the course and later in the parking lot. Some people tried to calm things down. In the end, Shane Lowry helped stop the argument from getting worse.
