However, Scottie Scheffler, along with a few others, decided to stay on the Tour. And currently, the golf star is on the field and tied for sixth at the Players Championship. Fans always find it very interesting to get a sneak peek into the lives of their favorite players. Scheffler has millions of fans for his spectacular performances but soon lost his top spot on the OWGR leaderboard. However, his fans absolutely admire his golfing skills and often show great interest in his tournament preparations. Other than practicing for hours and days before an important event, Scheffler’s on-the-field routine was recently covered by the PGA Tour. Moreover, the Tour’s official Twitter handle also posted a video of the same sharing each step Scheffler takes before reaching the first tee during a tournament.

Beginning with an energetic workout, the golfer enters the training center first thing after reaching the venue. Once done with his workout, Scheffler enters the locker room to get changed for the tournament, followed by meeting his caddie on the practice greens. He then tries his hands on some putting drills almost one hour before beginning the game. Later he reaches the range with his caddie and tries out some more practice shots, and of course, some chipping too. His routine also includes greeting some fans and giving them high-fives on his way to the putting holes.

When Scheffler finally reaches the first tee in the video, he takes a minute to talk to Rory McIlroy, who has also been world no.1 for several weeks. Both McIlroy and Scheffler are still among the top three players in the world as per the OWGR rankings. And currently, the first spot on the leaderboard is held by Jon Rahm. After around two hours of working and practicing, Scheffler finally hits his first tee shot in the video. Well, it showed that golf involves a lot more work than what fans see during tournaments.
