It was a way to honor his wife, who was struggling to fight her cancer. A pink ribbon often symbolizes breast cancer awareness, and Mickelson was not left behind in terms of spreading awareness.

But that was not all that Mickelson did that day. The golf ace carded a spectacular three-shot victory and won his fourth major championship. After his surprising round, he said, “I don’t normally shed tears over wins, and when Amy and I hugged, that was a very emotional moment for us and something that I’ll look back on and just cherish,”
