McIlroy is one of the few players who have decided to stick to the PGA. The PGA Tour professional recently spoke his heart out at the Tour Championship press conference after winning the tournament. It was his third FedEx Cup win since 2016, but there were other things that the golfer had to talk about in the media interaction.
The reporter asked McIlroy if it felt like a burden to him being the “loudest voice” on the PGA Tour as well as in the world of golf. But the golfer’s reply went on about the current situation of the golf community with new players switching to LIV Golf now and then. He said, “I hate what it’s doing to the game of golf. I hate it.
