Famous for his undying bond with his caddie cum best friend, Geno Bonnalie, Dahmen received a huge fan following for his episode. On the other hand, even the folks at Netflix were shocked to see the reaction of fans over the golfer’s role in the show! “I think overall it was really good. I think they did a good job of telling our story,” Dahmen said. “We have a unique friendship, brotherhood, whatever you want to call it.”

Well, that doesn’t change the fact that the golfer made a lot of underconfident statements about himself. And not just him, but even Bonnalie was seen using all his humor during the shoot to make fun of his player. And despite it all being fun and games, it was understandable for Dahmen to be concerned about his image among fans.

And so to clear things out about his golfing abilities, the player recently spoke up in an interview shared by the PGA Tour. When asked if he wanted to share something that didn’t make it to the show, he said, “I actually believe I’m good at golf. Like, I’m not this self-deprecating.” And of course, how could his caddie not add his own element to the golfer’s statements?

With Dahmen struggling to frame his next statement, Bonnalie interrupted and said, “Not really for me! I also believe Joel is that good at golf too…I portrayed my message clearly”. Thankfully, he got a “hmm, fair” remark from his buddy sitting next to him. However, it is not less than a treat for the fans to watch the two in their own comfort zone with each other on and off the field! Have you checked out Dahmen’s episode from Full Swing?
