Donald Trump has been recently making headlines after his statements supporting the players who joined the Saudi-backed LIV Golf. Moreover, he advised the players to take the LIV Golf money despite the protests from the families of 9/11 victims. With Trump’s golf course in Bedminster set to host the upcoming LIV Golf event, we look at how much the former POTUS is actually involved in the Saudi-funded Golf Tour.
LIV Golf’s third event of the year is all set to take place at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. With more and more PGA Tour players making their jump to the LIV Golf invitational series, the Tour has now caught the attention of the 45th President of the United States.

After hosting the upcoming event in New Jersey, Trump’s golf course in Miami, popularly known as Blue Monster, will host the final tournament of LIV Golf. With Trump’s involvement in the nemesis of the PGA Tour, rumors have started to swirl around how much the former President is involved in the lucrative Tour.

Trump recently shared his thoughts and annihilated the golfers who stayed loyal to the PGA Tour. The former President said, “All of those golfers that remain ‘loyal’ to the very disloyal PGA, in all of its different forms, will pay a big price.”
The harsh words from Trump come after the PGA decided to shift the 2022 PGA Championship from Trump Bedminister to Southern Hills. The decision was taken after it was reported that the former President’s fans had stormed into the Capitol.

Trump reacted to the situation by saying, “They did something so terrible”. The contract between the PGA Tour and Trump Organization signed in 2014 was dissolved.
Though PGA did acknowledge the Trump organization’s contribution to golf, the 76-year-old was still unhappy. This is when Trump decided to shift his focus toward LIV Golf.
Is Trump involved in LIV Golf?
With the former President supporting LIV Series through his comments and venues, Trump’s involvement in the Tour is quite evident. There are plenty of reasons why Trump would love to be part of LIV Golf.

Firstly, he wouldn’t mind joining the nemesis of the PGA Tour after they dissolved their long-standing relationship. Moreover, with LIV Golf’s upcoming venue being Bedminster which was set to host the 2022 PGA Championship, it only adds fuel to the fire.
During his tenure as President, he maintained a great relationship with the Saudi Monarchy. This could also be a key element in getting Trump involved as he already has an established Golf empire and can help the Saudi-backed Golf Tour with his insight.
Finally, the question is why wouldn’t he support LIV Golf? The lucrative Tour at first received massive scrutiny from fans as well as players. However, as months pass by, the Tour managed to grasp many top PGA Tour stars.

With only a few months of commencement, the LIV Series is already giving tough competition to the 92-year-old Golf Tour. Being a top business tycoon, Trump would not let this opportunity pass by. The third installment of the LIV Golf invitational will be held at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster from July 29th to 31st, 2o22.
