Justin Thomas takes a massive fall on the OWGR leaderboard
Thomas, 29, has given his fans tons of reasons to show him respect for his tournament performances and spectacular PGA Tour victories. With two major championship wins in his name, the golf star has made several other records in his career. In fact, the American pro has also been the number one golfer as per the OWGR leaderboard!

The former FedEx Cup champion has been highly against LIV Golf stars who have expressed their wish to get access to OWGR points! Calling it “their own fault”, the golfer has made several statements like “they won’t have world ranking points, and they took that risk.” Moreover, despite many of his friends disapproving of the new OWGR system, Thomas has been highly supportive of the governing bodies. But despite rooting for the system, the golf star has lost his authority from the top 10 players on the leaderboard.

As per OWGR.com, Justin Thomas is currently at the 14th rank for now. And looking at all his achievements and contributions to the game, fans did not see this coming. Not to forget, the player recently missed the cut at the 2023 Masters at 4-over. And that led to the giant backward leap that he took among the top players. For those who don’t know, Thomas hasn’t been this down on the leaderboard ever since the time he won his first Major at the 2017 PGA Championship. The golf star’s year ends ranking shifted from 22 to 3 between 2016-2017.

Where do Matt Fitzpatrick and Jordan Spieth stand on the leaderboard?
Similar to Thomas, both Fitzpatrick and Spieth have been extremely loyal to their own legacies on the PGA Tour. However, the two performed extremely well at the 2023 Masters. Spieth made a T4 finish in the final round, while Fitzpatrick finished tied at 10th at the end.
Matt Fitzpatrick and Jordan Spieth are back inside the world top 10 while Justin Thomas is the lowest he's been since before he was a major champ.

Significantly, both these players took a huge leap and made their way to the top 10 players in the world. The 2015 Masters champion is currently at number 9, whereas, the Englishman stands at number 8 on the leaderboard.
However, despite his disappointing performance at Augusta, the golfer tried to make a comeback at the recent RBC Heritage tournament and finished at T25.
