Jack Nicklaus shares his experiences on the golf course with his colorblindness
Jack Nicklaus has been the best in everything he has done in his professional career. Be it golf, or his multiple businesses, the man has aced it all. And similarly, there was a time when Nicklaus built a house for himself, but for a special purpose. Like everything else he does, his $2.7 million house is one of the best properties in the area. And it is loaded with luxuries to support the golfer’s lavish lifestyle.
What’s so special about Nicklaus’ opulent mansion?
The megamansion, spread over a huge area of 5,500 sqft on a 1.05-acre lot has countless amenities to offer. Including four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two half-baths, the place can easily house a family of 8-10 people. The house is located in the Villas section of a gated society offering complete privacy to the future owners.

Along with the indoor facilities, the place also has a garage with a capacity for three cars as well as a rear covered porch. The house also offers a full gourmet kitchen, a grand foyer, a traditional library, and a sunroom to spend some alone time. The house’s purchase will also include the initiation fee for the club membership which will offer the Cleveland Farms Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. And not just the course, but also other fitness spaces and tennis facilities.

Coming to the places that surround the house, the gated community is just 20 minutes from Dulles International. And not just that, one can easily make it to Washington, D.C. in less than 60 minutes of driving. The neighborhood also displays a 34,000-square-foot clubhouse that includes lockers, steam rooms, billiards rooms, etc. Moreover, people can also enjoy a fully loaded pub, resort pools, on-location massages, and private club rooms for guests to stay overnight. Being an athlete’s former place, it also offers tennis courts for the owners.
Jack Nicklaus listed his hardly-used Virginia house for sale
Nicklaus hosts an annual Creighton Farms Invitational tournament to raise money for children’s health charities. The event is played in Virginia, and so Nicklaus decided to build a home for himself in the area. However, the 5,500-square-foot custom-built house is now on sale after the golfer and his wife listed it a couple of years back for $2.698 million.

The listing agent with Creighton Realty explained why the couple made the huge decision. “The Nicklauses come back annually to participate in the Creighton Farms Invitational,” he said. “But as much as they love the home, they have never been able to stay in it as often as they might like. So the decision was made to put it on the market and let someone else enjoy it.”

The golfer currently resides in a 15,332-square-foot property located on 1.6 waterfront acres in North Palm Beach, Florida. And as of 2009, the price of the place was estimated to be $8.7 million. As per recent sources, Jack Nicklaus’ current net worth is somewhere around $400 Million. But it keeps fluctuating due to his numerous businesses. The ‘Golden Bear’ has been one of the highest-earning athletes in the world during his prime years. Clearly, money has never been a problem for the legend ever since he turned pro. But keeping the Virginia house to himself while he couldn’t even make use of it would have simply been a waste of great space.
