The 47-year-old’s scandal shook the golf world, with every embarrassing detail closely followed by the media. Moreover, a number of brands also moved in to end their sponsorship deals with the golf legend.
At that time, the 15-time major champion was considered the face of the sport, which resulted in a legion of deals. However, only a few of them stood by Woods to face the storm. It turned out to be an exceptional decision, as Woods, despite no longer being on the course regularly, has remained one of the most popular players in the sport.
