The actress shared a video on her Instagram handle, all the while sharing snippets of the beautiful journey the couple had with their son over the past year. Although the video initially hinted at their tough start after the 6-week early delivery, the rest of the video was nothing short of heartwarming as Koepka’s wife wished her adorable son a “Happy Birthday!”

The couple have truly enjoyed their time with their son over the past year. From caddying at the Masters par-3 contest to attending most, if not all, of the LIV golfer’s games, it truly was an eventful 12 months. And the fans? They couldn’t hold back their tears after watching the video. Tears of joy, to be precise!

Brooks Koepka and wife Jena Sims’ video sends the internet into a fervor

“It wasn’t easy,” mentions Denise Jakows, Crews’s grandmother, on her Instagram bio. Interestingly, she was alluding to becoming “Mom to two great men, Chase and Brooks Koepka. And now GM to my sweet grandson Crew!!” Well then, it’s understandable when she reacts to the video with the comment, “Is it possible to cry and smile at the same time?” As a close motherly figure to the Koepka family, it would have been a true roller coaster ride from the NICU to celebrating one year on the internet!

The baby was born 6 weeks earlier than the expected delivery date. Moreover, being a premature baby, Crew had his own issues with health problems, causing him to be admitted to the NICU immediately. The baby’s mother, meanwhile, could only hold her precious child for an hour per day. “Leaving the baby hospital without your baby,“ wrote Sims on her Instagram story, “I don’t wish that on anyone.” A year later, they sit happier than ever, and a fan couldn’t help but point out the love the parents had for their child: “Happy 1st Birthday Crew!! You have a wonderful Mommy & Daddy, who love you so much!” Another follower felt happy as well as goosebumps after remembering the entire year: “I have the chills and tears in my eyes. The sweetest audio I’ve ever heard. Happy Birthday, Crew.”

The birth of her first child has only made the year more special if anything. The actress, while pregnant with their son, walked the ramp at the Swimsuit Illustrated fashion show, and became the rookie for SI Swimsuit magazine. Brooks Koepka, on the other hand, was able to rake in a win at the LIV Golf event in Singapore. The accolades wouldn’t have been possible without the effect of the presence of their baby boy by their side. A couple of followers alluded to the same while commenting, “This is so sweet. The first year is so special. Happy birthday, Crew Man,” and “Gosh, this is the sweetest! Happy happy birthday Crew!! And congrats to Mama!!”
