Achievements of the Legion XIII team

Let’s look at the youngest player on the team first. Caleb Surratt is bound to make his professional debut in LIV Golf after having a stellar amateur career. The American golfer won the Terra Cotta Invitational, Junior PGA Championship, Bobby Chapman Invitational, and Western Junior all in a single calendar year.

This achievement led to his entry in the 2021 Junior Ryder Cup. He repeated his win at the Terra Cotta Invitational in 2022 and won the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley. Now Surratt will join Kieran Vincent on Legion XIII. The latter is also new to the professional scene, joining in 2022.

But in his brief time of turning pro, he has won the 2023 International Series in Vietnam. The 26-year-old will now look to leave his mark on the Saudi-backed league. And helping him out on the team will be Tyrrell Hatton, who boasts a stellar DPWT record.

Since turning pro in 2011, Hatton has won six European Tour and one PGA Tour event. Unfortunately, his last big win came back in 2021 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. But his track record alongside the Legion XIII captain cannot be ignored.

What have Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton achieved in their career?

Along with the 2021 win, Hatton won the BMW PGA Championship (2020), Turkish Airlines Open (2019), Italian Open (2017), and Alfred Dunhill Links Championship (2016,2017) on the European circuit. Furthermore, he won the Arnold Palmer Invitational (2020) on the PGA Tour.

But the English golfer had his best game when he played alongside Jon Rahm in the 2023 Ryder Cup, securing a win. This led to Hatton joining Legion XIII alongside Jon Rahm, whose track record needs no introduction.

The Spanish player has won a total of ten European Tour and eleven PGA Tour events. In the traditional league, he won the Farmers Insurance Open (2017), CareerBuilder Challenge (2018), Zurich Classic of New Orleans (2019), Memorial Tournament (2020), BMW Championship (2020), US Open (2021), Mexico Open (2022), Sentry Tournament of Champions (2023), The American Express (2023), Genesis Invitational (2023), and Masters Tournament (2023).

However, his wins on the European circuit are equally commendable, with him winning the Dubai Duty-Free Irish Open (2017, 2019), Open de Espana (2018, 2019, 2022), DP World Tour Championship (2017, 2019, 2022), US Open (2021), and Masters Tournament (2023). But will these stellar track records from each player be enough to surpass challenges in LIV? Only time will tell.
