Moments After Winning $3,100,000, Brooks Koepka Makes an Unrefusable Request to Michael Block After His Heroics at the PGA Championship

The 105th PGA Championship is over after four days of thrill. American golf star, Brooks Koepka has claimed his third PGA Victory, making him the first LIV golfer to ever win the title. Players like Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, Scottie Scheffler, Corey Conners, and many more such big names made the Tournament all the more exciting. However, it was an unknown player who became the talk of the town after the winner himself shared a friendly moment with him. 

Despite Brooks Koepka making headlines after winning the Wanamaker Trophy at Oak Hills Country Club, fans couldn’t help but give more attention to the PGA club pro as he finished 8th at the event. This led to the Man of the Match, Koepka, making a funny comment to the other star of the event.

Brooks gave a friendly banter to Block

The golf world is noticing how much of a fairytale life Michael Block is living. Block earned himself a whopping $288,333 paycheck, his biggest ever. He also received friendly banter with the PGA winner, Brooks Koepka himself. Brooks, who’ll be taking $3.1 million home, teased Block playfully saying, “I heard you’re buying drinks,” for his golden shot. Both the PGA 2023 stars shared a quick hug before parting away.

The 46-year-old secured himself in the eighth position on the leaderboard with a T15  during the closing round of the PGA. The golf club pro impressively maintained himself on the leaderboard and gave fans an iconic moment to witness as he shot one of the rarest shots on the course. After all, being asked for drinks from the winner himself is not a small deal.

Block was partnered with the golf legend, Rory McIlroy for the final round of the major event. Block earned himself a hug from McIlroy as he shot a hole-in-one, leaving every golf enthusiast’s mouth wide open. He finished playing in the top 15, making himself eligible for the PGA 2024. The golfer just wanted to enjoy his time on the course when he was hit with another great news. He said in a press conference, “I doubt if anybody on this entire property loves golf as much as I love golf. I’ve learned, at this point, to enjoy the moment, to sit back and relax and enjoy it because it goes by fast, and life goes by fast,” referring to how every moment on the green counts for him.

Brooks Koepka’s victorious PGA performance

The 33-year-old golfer won the PGA 2023 title at Oak Hills with a two-stroke victory over Viktor Hovland and Scottie Scheffler. He ended the game with a nine-under, scoring a 67. By winning the game on Sunday, Koepka won his fifth major title and returned home with the Wanamaker and $3.1 million.
