Coming to the 2023 Ryder Cup, Molinari served as the vice-captain for Luke Donald. Playing at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, Molinari shared his wish to play as a golfer in the upcoming Ryder Cup. He said, “I’d love to play in another Ryder Cup, being part of it this year as vice-captain was obviously a huge honor.”

However, Molinari expressed that “Playing it (Ryder Cup) is another thing, and I’d love to play one more. I don’t know if I’ve it in me or not, but I’ll give it my best.” Molinari has not had a blistering 2023, for his dreams to come true, he has to make a better run in the coming year. Molinari made his DP World Tour debut in 2005, winning 6th times on the tour. Certain victories made history for the Italian golfer. In 2018, Molinari was paired with Tiger Woods for the final round of The Open Championship.

Hitting a birdie on the last hole, Molinari claimed the Claret Jug by defeating Xander Schauffele, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Rose. Molinari had a bogey-free weekend at Carnoustie and finished 8 under 276 and became the first Italian to win a major. Moreover, another such feat came in his initial years as well. Molinari won the Italian Open in 2006, his first victory on DPWT, and became the first Italian to do so in 25 years.
