Golf is considered one of the safest sports. Although fans often find players injured due to swinging the club too fast, the aggression is far lesser than in other sports. PGA Tour pro Max Homa recently admitted how lucky he considers himself to be a golfer for the same reason.

Max Homa thinks golf is a safe sport

Five-time PGA Tour winner Max Homa recently tweeted about how glad he was to be a golfer. He wrote, “Adding another reason to why I’m glad I play golf; that punch would have killed me”. His statements were about the recent video where Golden State Warriors player  Draymond Green was seen punching his teammate Jordan Poole during practice.

The video was released by TMZ and it immediately went viral. Green’s actions are being condemned by millions of fans across the world. And many celebrities are calling his behavior towards another professional basketballer unacceptable. However, not many people from the golf world reacted to the incident. Homa joked about joining LIV Golf

Max Homa is one of the few loyal members remaining on the PGA Tour. However, he recently joked about joining the Saudi-backed league. Homa said that LIV Golf had offered him more than what was allegedly offered to golf legend Tiger Woods.

Not to underestimate Homa’s worth on the tour, but it was quite hard to digest the offer. Adding up to his statements he mentioned that the amount was not high enough to get him into the league. “I said I’m $2 billion or nothing.” Homa joked. Given Homa’s sense of humor, one can expect many more such statements coming out from his side. Talking about his expectations to be invited to the Ryder Cup Team, Homa said, “That door is definitely … I’m gonna leave it open until somebody shuts it on me, but I’m definitely open for an invitation. I’m down.”

Fans love how Homa chose to stay on the PGA Tour. Although there was no official news about an offer being made to the golfer by LIV golf, his performance has been stellar recently. How many PGA Tour wins do you think Homa will have by the end of his career?
