In a video recently shared by cmccormickgolf in collaboration with altusperformance, Woods speaks about how various players think during professional tournaments. “I think that’s what separates a tour player from amateur and…consistent winners from the greats”, the golf star said. “Some are playing checkers where some are playing chess. You’re thinking 20-30 moves ahead. One little mistake over a 72-hole period can cost you a tournament.”

“It’s the little things that add up,” he added. The golfer said he thinks about where the flag is, and even which shots to miss to perform better. He mentioned that he can’t possibly out putt a player, but he can certainly outthink them all. “There’s no reason I can’t outthink you”

According to the golf great, the mindset of a player highly defines how he is going to perform in a tournament. And that is what differentiates Woods from most of his competitors on the field.
