Throughout his career, he has been compared to fewer older legends of the sport, but not many golfers from the next generation have been weighed alongside Woods and called better. Lately, among those few younger players who are matched up against the 15-time major winner, one name that stands out is that of Jon Rahm. But not all fans deem him worthy of comparison with the legend. And a recent post about the Spaniard lace side by side against Woods didn’t sit right with the fans.

In his prime, Woods was an unstoppable force. He was driven, passionate, and an absolute beast with an unwavering resolve on the course. Of course, it’s been years since Woods was in his prime, and many seem to think his best days are now certainly behind him. They think it’s time for a new golfer to take over and have named many to be the next Woods.

CBS’ Kyle Porter, is a part of that cohort; he believes that Woods is no longer the player he used to be and that there are now players better than him. And with his unpopular opinion, he took to Twitter to post a meme stating that Jon Rahm was an upgrade over Tiger Woods! As you can imagine, that did not go well with the fans, and they retaliated.

Fans also stormed his post with comments saying that his claims were absolutely ridiculous. They stated that Rahm just couldn’t be compared to the golf legend, and that Woods was irreplaceable. It certainly seems like Woods’ loyal fans are not ready to write him off yet.

The infuriated fans lashed out at Porter, claiming his post a was huge clickbait. One even went on to rant about how the modern-day generation of reporters were all like that now, and would do anything for attention.

Many fans further wanted the post taken down immediately. They called it the worst tweet in history, and strongly suggested that he take it down.
