Tiger Woods is undoubtedly one of the greatest golfers on the course. Ever since the inception of his career, he has been nothing but marvelous with clubs and golf balls. Even as an amateur, Woods created many records and collected many accolades, and his stellar skills excelled further when he turned pro. Whenever there is a mention of the greatest golfers in history, Tiger Woods’ name is always on the list alongside some great names. But like everything great sometimes comes to an unexpected halt, GOAT’s career has somewhat been the same.

In a career expanding to more than 3 decades, there have been very few low moments in his professional life, but a particular one has been expanding for nearly 2 years now. In 2021, on an unfateful night, the 15X major champion met with a near-fatal accident, and ever since, his professional life has not been the same. He was not seen on the course for the majority of 2022, and similarly, 2023 has been a similar year for TW fans. Although there were a few glimpses of the legend on the course at one of the heroic courses, Pebble Beach, it did not seem to come bearing the good news all the fans and the whole golf fraternity expected.

Is Tiger Woods’ positive Pebble Beach update concerning?

2023 started off as a good year for Tiger Woods fans since the golfer made an appearance early this year. He played in the 2023 Masters Tournament but sadly had to withdraw from the competition on Saturday morning owing to his reinstated pain in his ankle. To curb the issue, he underwent surgery in April, and ever since, he has been sitting out of professional golf tournaments.

The golfing great has been undergoing a lot of medical procedures ever since his accident, and he seems to be getting better for sure, but to state that he has become his fierce self like he was before the accident will not be true. Recently, the 5X Masters winner’s video swinging his clubs and hitting a few shots on Pebble Beach Golf Course went viral on social media, and it gave a ray of hope to the fans that they were longing for.

But it turns out that the video did impress the fans, but it raises a bigger question: Is Tiger Woods ready to make a comeback, or are his appearances on the course just getting more concerning? Though the golf great has been making more appearances on the course as compared to the first half of the year, he still does not look enough to make a ferocious comeback on the course. Before the Pebble Beach video, another video of him playing with Rickie Fowler and Will Zalatoris went viral. The golfer was seen wearing a knee patch in the video, and it seemed that he also had some trouble walking. In the video, though he stretched and looked in good shape overall, it appeared that he was limping.

Now with another viral video of him hitting a few good shots at Pebble Beach, it raises the concern: has the golfer healed completely? Maybe he has! His recent appearance created intrigue about him competing at the Hero World Challenge and PNC Championship in the coming months.

It is natural that the 82-time PGAT champion wants to compete with his son, Charlie Woods, in the coming months since the two share a very special bond with each other, so much so that he recently caddied for his beloved son. Although the golfer will most probably play again, will he ever be the same again, just like he was on the course before the near-death accident?

Will the legend ever be fierce like in the old days?

In 2021, Woods went on a long hiatus to heal from the physical and mental trauma of the accident. Ever since the accident, he has had a limp in his walking, which has caused a lot of trouble for him. His ankle surgery in April was to fix the issue, and it appears that the limp has gotten much better as compared to what it was in March at Augusta. During his time at Augusta, Woods looked so much in pain, and compared to that, he has looked much better in all of his recent outings on the course.

He doesn’t look so much in pain, and it can be said that his health is improving tremendously with each passing day. If the 47-year-old keeps up his progress, his fans will be delighted to see him compete on the course in absolutely no time. With two big events coming up, the Hero World Challenge and the PNC Championship, TW fans might just get a chance to see him compete and take on the golf world all over again!
