The RBC Canadian Open had an enthralling finish as Rory McIlroy won the event with a score of -19. Moreover, it was a mesmerizing final group pairing as Rory had Justin Thomas and Tony Finau with him competing for the trophy. After winning the event, McIlroy took a dig at Greg Norman for all the LIV Golf drama.
Additionally, even Justin Thomas took a subtle dig at the LIV Golf CEO after a solo 3rd finish. He congratulated Rory for his victory and fired shots at Greg Norman. He wrote, “What a week. That’s why we play, and that’s why we play on the PGA Tour. Got to battle against one of the best today and got out dueled, but not without a fight. Congrats to Rory McIlroy on his 21st win and an amazing finish.”

Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy’s 21st win was a subtle dig at Norman as he has 20 PGA Tour wins in his name. After winning the event, McIlroy said, “21st PGA Tour win. One more than someone else. That gave me some motivation today.” The Irishman was hinting toward Greg Norman, who has 20 PGA Tour wins.

However, Justin and Tony carded -6 for the day and remained -15 and -17 for the event, respectively. Rory McIlroy was unstoppable as he carded -8 for the day and finished with a score of -19.
