To retain the remaining players, the PGA Tour decided to make some major changes in its functioning. And one of these changes was the increased prize money in all their tournaments. Even though the tour couldn’t offer its players as much as LIV Golf, they still made a huge increment in the purses. Golf Digest recently shared a picture showing how much the top 10 players earned in the 2020-21 season after playing 50 events against how much they earned during the 2022-23 season by playing only 20 tournaments.
