On Tuesday night, as per The Sun News, the officers of the Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to a call at about 5 p.m. A woman had driven her car right across the golf course and straight into a pond near the fourth hole. The Myrtle Beach Fire Department and Horry County Fire Rescue also joined the cops. Together they assisted the diving team in dragging the car, a white SUV, out of the water hazards on the course. Moreover, the personnel rescued the woman and the child from the sunk car wreckage.

Injuries sustained during the accident

Fortunately for the pair, they were unharmed by the unfortunate incident. According to the report, neither of the two suffered any serious injuries in the aftermath. The cause of the accident is still unknown, but the police have confirmed that they are investigating the incident as a DUI (driving under the influence). Which makes it more plausible that the disoriented woman drove off Harrelson Boulevard and straight onto the course.
