Masters 2023 is right around the corner. And when it comes to major championships, Jack Nicklaus is the name that always comes up. And also, one cannot forget Tiger Woods. He has been trying to break Nicklaus’s record of 18 major victories. But in 2019, the retired golfer compared his mental state with Woods as a golfer. He pointed out what makes them similar, taking the example of his last Masters victory in 1986. It is time to walk down memory lane of Nicklaus’s final major victory.

He explained what happened that day and said, “was sort of struck lightning in a bottle that week, and all of a sudden, I got around to the last nine holes, the last ten holes, and I remembered how to Play.”

Why did the retired golfer second guess his choices?
In 2021, the 15 times major championship made Nicklaus question his career choices. He appeared on a talk show called AJGA Golf. There he revealed how he would have done things differently if he knew Woods would be coming to challenge him. He said, “I don’t know.
