Max Homa has earned quite a reputation for his sassy presence on social media. On Wednesday, he proved yet again why he is the unrivaled king of comebacks on the PGA Tour after he got a visit from none other than Justin Thomas at the pre-tournament press conference for the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Posing as a journalist, Thomas attempted to catch him off guard, only for the World No. 9 to turn the tables on him!

Hey, man. It’s Justin; I’m playing in the tournament this week,” the 2-time major winner quipped. “Of your pairings last week, who was your favorite that wasn’t Wyndham Clark? And why?” Thomas was referring to the recently concluded Travelers Championship, wherein he had paired up with Homa and US Open champion Clark.

I think I’d have to go with Justin Thomas,” came Homa’s hilarious retort. “He makes me feel tall… and funny.” Thomas ended his line of questions then and there, saying, “All right, that’s the end of the question.” “That backfired,” confessed the former World No. 1.

Both players will be hoping to put forth impressive performances at the impending PGA Tour event, especially after their recent setbacks. While Thomas achieved a top-10 finish at the Travelers Championship after failing to stay inside the cutline at the US Open, Homa will kick things off in Detroit after two consecutive missed cuts.

The exchange between the two players comes just days after their silly antics during the 2023 US Open. Despite their early exit, the PGA Tour pros still managed to entertain their fans greatly, with Homa even dropping his own predictions for the final.

Max Homa stunningly predicted the result of the 2023 US Open

The 123rd US Open was a forgettable one for both Max Homa and Justin Thomas. However, they still managed to have some fun during the major’s fourth and final day. Both golfers sipped on rosé and watched as the likes of Wyndham Clark, Rory McIlroy, and more kept fans on their toes throughout the round.

In a video shared by Thomas, Homa even predicted the outcome of the tournament, albeit drunkenly! The six-time PGA Tour winner opined that Clark would win the title well before he teed off at the 18th green. “My prediction is that Wyndham Clark is going to win,” shared Homa. “Wyndham Clark is going to win at exactly 10-under par.” What shocked fans the most is that Homa was not only right about the winner but also correctly guessed the winning score!
