If Jon Rahm can complain about his swing then you can too. The reigning Masters champion recently revealed that despite it awarding him with absolutely remarkable career wins, his swing is not the “prettiest looking” among golfers.
The newly-turned captain of Legion XIII was playing a stroke competition against the Bryan Bros for the channel’s latest video. During the competition, it was revealed that the 11-time PGA Tour winner gets jealous of others’ swings because his shot is not as aesthetically pleasing.

Jon Rahm has won 26 titles in his entire career with his swing. For golf fans, many would try to replicate it, but for the champ himself, it is probably not the most beautiful and aesthetic. In Jon Rahm vs. Bryan Bros’s 18-hole competition, Rahm complimented Goerge Bryan (the co-host) for his swing, calling it “decent.”
While doing so, he disregarded his swing and said, “I know I don’t have the prettiest-looking swing,” and remarked that it is why he is “so jealous of people’s good-looking swings.” Well, he was not saying that his swing is “bad” and that he is “fully aware” that the “result is good.”

But what he was trying to explain was that “the look, I know, is not people’s favorite.” The Spaniard was quick to compliment his swing at last because “it’s compact, it’s efficient, and that’s producing the results” he likes, so he was “not going to say anything else about that.”
The swing Rahm has is comparatively different from his early days. Yes, it is not the prettiest, because the Spaniard has his right leg shorter than the other, which is why his swing is different and not as aesthetic. To get to this stage of producing his current swing, Rahm had to fight with his previous coaches for two years.
Jon Rahm on how he didn’t comply with the conventional methods
In 2022, Jon Rahm revealed that during his initial days at a golf academy, he was taught one single method that would give a “perfect-looking swing” regardless of how much a golfer was struggling. Although Rahm could not follow the same methods as others.
Rahm said, “For two years, I fought the coach, saying, ‘I am not doing that. You teach me how to hit a draw or fade with what I have.'” The 11-time PGA Tour winner stayed “stubborn.”

Furthermore, Rahm criticized the coaches and advised that they need to adjust their methods to the players’ needs and cannot expect them to work for everyone. Ultimately, he thanked God that he didn’t listen to anyone else because we would not have witnessed his greatness if the swing had changed.
