Tiger Woods has had a beautiful professional golf career. The 15x major winner has captured the hearts of millions of fans for his epic tournament finish and unforgettable victories. However, things are not the same anymore for the GOAT. Notably, the player has been struggling immensely due to his unhealed leg injuries. And that has been majorly affecting his tournament performances, including the 2023 Masters. However, despite his unfortunate presentation, the golfer achieved a huge professional milestone at Augusta.

What is Tiger Woods’ great achievement from the Masters?

Woods, 47, has been putting in all his efforts and strength to get back to his best form. Although the golf star still has the same powerful swinging abilities, his leg proves to be a huge hurdle in his tournaments. Moreover, he also couldn’t finish the Masters Tournament despite making the cut and had to withdraw succumbing to his injuries.

Clearly, it is not the best time for Woods to aim for setting new records on the course. However, despite not being on the top of the Masters leaderboard, the golf ace has achieved a major milestone in his career. Tiger Woods, whose OWGR ranking was 1001 last week, has finally made his way back into the top 1000 players on the list. As per owgr.com, Woods’ current world ranking is 997.

This might not look like a huge achievement to many of his fans. After all, the golfer has spent 281 weeks consecutively as world no. 1. But not to forget, the golfer has been fighting extreme pain since his infamous car crash back in 2021. The golfer currently has a metal rod along with several screws holding his right leg together. And fans couldn’t help but see the golfer walking with a serious limp throughout the tournament. Thus, making it back to the top 1000 players is a pretty big deal for the golf underdog, keeping in mind his present condition!

Looking at the golfer’s current condition, it is hard to say when or where Tiger Woods will decide to tee it up next. Although there are numerous PGA Tour events coming up very soon with two of them in April itself, there are little to no chances of the golfer’s appearance. As per his earlier statements, Woods is only focused on playing at major championships. And with the PGA Championship coming up in May, fans can expect the golf legend to make a comeback at the $15,000,000 event at Oak Hill East Course.
