Scott Stallings has a surprising run-in with the police

On Sunday, the Massachusetts native rung down the curtain even before the leading golfers reached the back nine at Augusta. Unlike many others, Stallings did not stick around in the clubhouse to watch the 2023 Masters come to a close. Instead, the golfer and his family headed to Hilton Head Island, the location for the RBC Heritage event.

However, the golfer was pressing down on the car’s gas pedal a bit too heavily and ended up getting pulled over by the police as a result. This incident happened when Stallings crossed the state line into South Carolina. The golfer broke down the unfortunate incident on Hot Mic with Jonathan Hutton and Chad Withrow.

When asked whether he stuck around to see how things played out at Augusta on Sunday, the golfer hilariously shared, “No, I was already down the road getting a speeding ticket.

Another thing that caught the police’s attention was that the golfer was driving a loaner car. Despite explaining that he had just wrapped up his 2023 Masters journey in Augusta, the police officer in charge was still confused. Stallings shared that the officer inquired about registration papers and why the golfer was driving a dealer car.

The Masters invites the wrong Stallings to Augusta

A few months ago, the veteran Tour pro found himself in the middle of another unintentionally hilarious Masters incident. Right from the moment invitations were sent out, up to the fated Sunday when Rahm won his first-ever green jacket, the Masters has been a very exciting event.

In January, the World no. 63 revealed on Twitter that his invitation for the Masters had been sent out to a different Scott Stallings. In an amusing turn of events, their wives also shared the same name! The golfer even shared his exchange with his namesake from Georgia on social media. Luckily, the other Scott Stallings sent the pro-golfer the invitation just in time to avoid any hassle!
