The golf world has its eyes set on the Riviera Country Club for the return of one of the greatest golfers of all time. Every move of Tiger Woods is being monitored by the golf world ahead of the Genesis Invitational. In the recent snapshot of the Hall of Famer, he was seen walking beside PGA Tour Commissioner, Jay Monahan, sparking humorous tweets on what their conversation must have been like.
For the first time in nearly three years, Woods will compete at a PGA Tour event apart from the Majors. Though he has been the host of the event for more than a decade, Tiger has no Genesis Invitational win to his name. However, he hopes to change that poor stat over this weekend.
From his arrival at the venue to his practice sessions, the golf world has been regularly updated with every move of the Hall of Famer from the Riviera Golf Club. In the most recent picture from the Westside of Los Angeles, Woods was seen next to the most prominent name in the PGA Tour.

Tiger and the commissioner have a walk and talk
Though Woods hasn’t participated in any PGA Tour event since the 2020 ZOZO Championship, he still remains the most notable face on the American Tour. He was again crowned with the number one position in the Player Impact Program last year. However, Tiger’s most impactful moment came when he became the voice of the 92-year-old Tour against LIV Golf.

The PGA Tour commissioner, Jay Monahan, has taken many measures to overpower the Saudi-funded Tour. In the process, he was assisted with support from the Tour’s most decorated player, Tiger Woods. The 15-time Major winner rejected the rival Tour’s $800 million offer and motivated fellow Tour members to remain loyal to it.
Woods will even commence the TGL in 2024, a golf league partnered between him, PGA Tour, and Rory McIlroy. This only embedded Tiger’s loyalty much further, making his bond with Monahan much better. Both men were recently seen having a walk ahead of Tiger’s return to the Tour. While the topic of their discussion remains undisclosed, fans on Twitter began conspiracies about what could have been the conversation about.
Evidently enough, some fans believed LIV Golf was the theme of the discussion. While others took the humorous approach and claimed a new script was created for the upcoming PGA Tour season.
