We have witnessed the bonding and golfing skills of Tiger Woods and his son Charlie many times in the past. Even at the age of 14, Charlie’s golf skills are evident and recognized widely. But this is not the only father-son duo that is attracting attention in the golf world at present.

There’s another father-son duo making waves for their stupendous show at a golf event. Interestingly enough, the father just so happens to be a LIV Golf defector. Tiger and Charlie Woods aren’t used to playing second fiddle to another team but it would appear there’s a new father-son duo in town.

The International Series golf event in England, boasting a prize pool of $2M, got a special touch with Ian Poulter and his son Luke Poulter both playing a strong game together. Ian has made quite the name for himself in golf, especially from his Ryder Cup days. But this tournament is special because he’s not just playing for himself, he’s also watching his son Luke step up.

Luke is just 19 years old and is part of the University of Florida’s golf team. This is Luke’s debut in professional golf. There was a moment in the tournament when it seemed Luke wouldn’t make the cut. But after hitting some really good shots with his dad cheering by the side, he finally made it through.

Compared to his father’s first two rounds of 69 and 70, Luke didn’t have it easy with scores of 72 and 73, but he pulled through and eventually made the cut. On his last three holes, Luke unleashed an eagle, a birdie, and a par, getting him right on the cut line at three over. It’s evident both Poulter men brought their A-game to the event.

There were other father-son teams too participating in the event: Lee Westwood & his son Samuel and Davis Love III’s and his son Dru. While Lee withdrew from the event after the first two rounds, Samuel sadly failed to make the cut. In the instance of Davis Love III and Dru, both missed the cut.

Going back to the Poulter duo… Tiger Woods and his son Charlie now have every reason to up their game together since the number of their rivals has gone up in recent times. Two years ago, they had no real challenge to speak of. Be that as it may,  let’s relive what they did in Orlando.
