The LPGA Tour’s Asian Swing wraps up this week with serious money on the line. The TOTO Japan Classic 2025 brings a $2.1 million purse to Seta Golf Course in Otsu-shi, Shiga, Japan. That’s substantial cash for 78 players competing from November 6 to 9. This tournament operates differently from most.

There’s no cut. All 78 players compete for four full rounds. Everyone walks away with a paycheck. The winner claims $315,000—a clean 15% of the total purse following the LPGA’s standard payout structure. Second place earns $191,664. Third place takes home $139,039. The payout continues systematically down the line.

Even the player finishing 78th receives $3,791. That’s guaranteed money for simply competing. Mid-pack finishers around 40th place pocket roughly $10,913. Those cracking the top 20 earn at least $24,134. Beyond the prize money, the winner receives crucial benefits.

There are 500 Race to CME Globe points up for grabs. The champion also secures a two-year LPGA Tour exemption. Major tournament berths come with the victory, too. Plus, 500 Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking points add to the haul.

Nasa Hataoka and Miyu Yamashita lead after Round 1 with matching 7-under 65 scores. Yamashita arrives red-hot after winning the Maybank Championship just last week. She came from eight shots back to force a playoff—one of the most significant comebacks in LPGA history since 1980.

Minjee Lee sits three shots back at 4-under par. The World No. 3 from Australia won the 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship earlier this year. She also claimed the Rolex Annika Major Award. Tournament betting favorites include these strong performers heading into the weekend. You would not want to miss the action.

This tournament matters beyond this week’s purse. Players battle for top 60 positioning in the Race to CME Globe standings. The cutoff comes after next week’s ANNIKA event. Making the top 60 means qualifying for the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida. That season finale features an $11 million purse. The winner takes home $4 million—the largest prize in women’s golf.
