English golfer, Tyrrell Hatton, currently participating in the Dubai Desert Classic, has made a light-hearted joke ahead of his upcoming grouping in the event. The 31-year-old is set to tee up with fellow European golfers Henrik Stenson and Luke Donald on Sunday. Hatton, who is known for his dry sense of humor, quipped about playing alongside the former and the present Ryder Cup captains, which makes it a round worth watching.

Once the draw came up, Hatton knew the grouping was going to be messy. The fun-loving golfer proceeded to show his funny side by tweeting about the Ryder Cup with a hilarious meme.
It started with the DP Tour tweeting a clip of Hatton emulating the famous meme of the fictional character Homer Simpson from the hit show, ‘The Simpsons’. Hatton tagged that meme to share his own joke, which resonated perfectly with the original tweet. Check out Hatton’s tweet below.

What is the rift between Stenson and Donald?

The move came under severe backlash and criticism from fans and pundits worldwide. The DP Tour eventually decided to strip Stenson of captaincy, while assigning Englishman Luke Donald for the prestigious role.
In the months that followed, Stenson has been quite vocal about his decision to leave the tour for newer pastures. In response, Donald has been straightforward and has given his word to not perform anything Stenson-like.
