Moore turned pro back in 2016, but it took the golfer seven years to claim his first win. The 29-year-old earned the ticket to Masters by winning the Valspar Championship earlier this month. Following his maiden victory, Taylor has been visiting several talk shows to talk about his win.

The interviewers were stunned to know that Taylor never visited the legendary course. “You’ve never been on the property?”, asked the interviewer. However, Taylor Moore then clears the air by sharing the reason behind his no visits to Augusta National. He said, “It’s kind of been a thing between me and my pops”.

Moore and his father had a pact of going to the Masters venue for the first time only when the golfer qualified for the Major. “Our first time would be there when I qualified and so we finally get that opportunity”, said the 29-year-old. Nonetheless, the wait for the father-son duo is finally over, as they prepare for their first trip to Augusta National. “We’re pretty stoked”, claimed Taylor, while talking about the excitement level of him and his father.

While many men still dream of playing on the legendary golf course, Moore finally has the opportunity to play and most importantly has a chance to win the Green Jacket. Though it may not be easy for him, the golfer might need to imitate his performance from the Valspar Championship at the Augusta National to win his maiden Major title.
