LIV golfer Phil Mickelson is currently holidaying ahead of the start of the LIV Golf Series. But it seems like the 6-time major championship winner is keeping a close eye on the proceedings in the golf circuit. After the end of the day’s play at the Dubai Desert Classic, Mickelson tweeted in praise of Rory McIlroy, who opened up a three-point lead. But a user made fun of the veteran golfer’s record on Sundays in major championships, for which Mickelson responded in his own style.

However, a Twitter account, by the name of Shotgun Mulligan, took a shot at Mickelson. The user ridiculed the golfer’s record on Sundays in major championships. It also added a reference to winged foot, where Mickelson infamously choked to lose the 2006 US Open.

But the 52-year-old remained unperturbed by the troll. Replying to the comment, Mickelson claimed his six major championship wins under his belt. In his trophy-laden career, ‘Lefty’ has won three Masters titles (2004, 2006, 2010), two PGA Championships (2005, 2021), and one Open Championship (2013).

Mickelson’s comment was yet another example of his dominance over the social media app. His sense of humor has always made headlines and fans wait for it dearly, as seen when Mickelson’s dry spell was broken with a tweet.
