“It’s an important time for the Tour to kind of map out the next decade and beyond…it’s just a time of change. And, yeah, big decisions are going to be made and they need to be the right ones,” he said. And when asked about his views related to the LIV Golf lawsuit, Scott seemed completely uninterested. “I couldn’t care less about that, to be honest,” he said.
However, former professional golfer and NBC analyst Paul Azinger recently opened up about what he thinks of the Council that Scott just joined. Scott was wrapping up his final round at the Sony Open when Azinger was sitting in the booth with NBC announcer Dan Hicks. The PGA Tour is also elated to have Scott on board with them. Rumors still suggest that Scott could think of joining the LIV Golf league sometime in the future. According to his recent statements, the Saudi league is not pure evil. There were the same statements that got him into troubling rumors in the first place. But after joining the Council on the PGA Tour, the chances of his transition to the breakaway league are almost null.
