The high school prospect not only has various offers from top college football programs like Alabama, Florida, Oregon, Notre Dame, and Maryland but is also seen as one of the valuable additions to their team because of his performance on the field. Talking about Zion’s gameplay last year, he recorded 38 tackles and 13 sacks, and during his sophomore year, he increased them by scoring 64 tackles, of which 24 were for loss and 13 sacks. Now you can understand why the young player is the No. 1 recruiting prospect.
Even the 247 Sports channel mentioned the same thing about Zion Elee, saying, “One of the most complete edge prospects in recent memory at this stage of the evaluation process.” Well, knowing that Zion’s arms are freakishly long, making him the fourth longest out of the 81 EDGE prospects, it’s quite easy to understand the reason behind universities specifically rooting for his presence. Let’s see which team Zion has in mind.

Zion Elee in two minds
Well, it looks like Saint France’s five-star recruit has finally selected his top favorite teams for 2026. Looking at the number of universities interested in taking Zion Elee, it’s interesting to know what’s on his mind. A week ago, in a conversation with the Inside Scoop, Zion revealed his recent shift towards Maryland after he visited their homecoming game against USC, saying, “I changed my perspective on Maryland.” Their gameplay and the way their staff and Maryland’s head coach Mike Locksley treated him quite impressed Zion. It looks like the Oregon Ducks have a tough competitor.
However, the young prodigy has also shown a keen interest in the Oregon program and has also visited the university a few times. Zion Elee was also very astonished by their head coach, Dan Lanning, and the way he is leading an undefeated program. But now, after his recent visit to Maryland, he has turned the tables, as Zion Elee is now in two minds with his decision. Talking about that, he said, “I would say Oregon is my leader. But then again, I’ve recently started thinking about Maryland. I recently had Maryland consideration, so I would say Maryland and Oregon are top.” Now let’s see where he ultimately lands!
