Bolt had a phenomenal career in the sport, by far the best in history. After his retirement, the star athlete took up his second passion football, and his hobby music as well.

However, in a recent interview, Bolt has revealed that he misses being on the field and how he wished he was there for Tokyo 2020.

Tokyo 2020 witnessed some of the finest sprinters coming on one field. However, there was one athlete who was missing, and that is Usain Bolt, the legend. This was the first Olympic after a long time, which did not witness Bolt’s supremacy on the field.

Bolt himself has said how much he missed being on the field. Even though it’s been quite some time since he retired, he really wanted to be there in Tokyo and perform.

“When I watched the Olympics, I really missed it, and I mean especially watching the men 100 meters,” said Bolt.

He also added that he missed the 100m race, which was his specialty.

Moreover, Jamaicans are known to rule the field when it comes to sprinting. From Bolt to Blake, Jamaican athletes have always stood tall and proud on the podium. But this time, unfortunately, no Jamaican athlete could make it to the men’s 100m finals. This was further disheartening for Bolt.

“Not seeing the Jamaican in the finals really made me miss and really wanted to be there.”

Usain Bolt really just wanted to be there and perform, perhaps feeling that he might have made his country proud once again.

However, there were 3 Jamaican names who made the legend very proud in Tokyo. These were Elaine Thomson Herah, Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce, and Shericka Jackson, who swept the podium, making both Bolt and Jamaica proud.

“For me, the girls really did extremely well for Jamaica, they really showed up,” said Bolt, clearly proud of his fellow athletes.

Even though Bolt no longer competes, he still remains one of the greatest to ever grace the field. Younger athletes treat Bolt with the utmost respect and always look up to him when it comes to advise and encouragement.
