Milos Raonic Joins Boris Becker in an Embarrassing Record after ATP Vienna Open Withdrawal

29-year-old Canadian professional tennis player, Milos Raonic, will not be seen in Vienna. He has withdrawn from the Erste Bank Open 2020 contest after suffering an abdominal strain.
The tournament is due to start on October 26 which will make his exit even harder for the fans to accept. It is Raonic’s eleventh walkover in his career equaling his walkover rank with the former World No. 1 Boris Becker. They both now stand at number 3.

The European Open quarter-final was set between the Canadian and the Bulgarian today. But, even before the match could start, Dimitrov earned his seat for the next round.
The Vienna Open 2020 is speculated to be a grand show. With seven Top 10 players taking part in this competition, it might be a tough blow for Milos Raonic to bear.

Raonic is known for his exemplary service and is hugely popular in Canada. He is even considered as one of the best Canadian born tennis players.

Raonic is fairly remembered for his spectacle at the 2016 Wimbledon Championships where he had made it to the finals. Since then, he has always been a tough hurdle for his opponents to cross. But, he has also lacked the edge that makes you cross the finish line. He is currently ranked at Number 19 in the ATP rankings.
Accounting for the two missed chances – including the Vienna Open, and the amount of experience he could have grasped, the Canadian will also have to bear the chance of winning one.

After playing extensively well in the European Open, he was certainly a contender for the ATP 250 Tour in Belgium. But, all he could manage was another walkover in his account.
