Unexpected Allies Shower Love on the Arizona Diamondbacks

The NBA superstar and an Olympic swimmer were in attendance for an exciting game, even if the home team lost. Michael Phelps, originally from Maryland, is actually a diehard fan of the Baltimore Orioles. Despite their immense regular season success, the O’s choked in October. But since Phelps lives in Arizona, he made the trip to 401 E Jefferson Street in Phoenix. Throwing the ceremonial first pitch for the Diamondbacks, Phelps was clearly rooting for the Snakes this once.

Talking about Kevin Durant, the NBA player is often seen supporting the local sports teams. In Game 5 of the NLCS, the Phoenix Suns player was present at Chase Field wearing the team’s hat. The NBA season has just begun, yet the player carved out time to root for the D-Backs. Durant said at the time, “Just try to support the hometown, local team. I know they support us so just try to show some love“.

A chance encounter with Alex Rodriguez’s exceptional commentary while shuffling through the FOX Network was my first introduction to baseball. Driven by the words of wisdom from one of the greatest MLB coaches, Dusty Baker, “I'm not a guy that sits around and does nothing,” I love the art of storytelling. And what is baseball if not new stories being created on the diamond every day? From the thrilling conclusion that a World Series brings to the season, I love writing about the winningest teams in baseball. With a knack for crafting compelling content, I cover electrifying on-court action like the Arizona Diamondbacks advancing to the Fall Classic, or the Texas Rangers making history. When not putting pen to paper, you'll likely find me immersed in the pages of a book or dancing my heart out.
