Minnesota Timberwolves Leave Millionaire Owner Alex Rodriguez Ecstatic With a Crucial Victory Over the Los Angeles Clippers

Alex Rodriguez is enjoying being the owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The former MLB superstar started the process of buying the Timberwolves in 2021, along with business partner Marc Lore. Notably, Rodriguez had wanted to buy a sports team for years, failing to do so with the New York Mets. But he successfully orchestrated a deal to buy the T-Wolves along with Lore. 

The New York Yankees legend has gotten increasingly involved with the team and is regularly seen at their games. Most recently, he was seen watching the Timberwolves as they played a crucial game against a Western Conference rival.

Alex Rodriguez was most recently seen watching the Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Los Angeles Clippers. Spectrum News broadcaster Timothy Parker shared a Tweet saying that Rodriguez was in the building to watch the T-Wolves play the Clippers. This was a crucial game as both teams are fighting to make the playoffs. Furthermore, the Clippers are 6th in the Western Conference and the Timberwolves are 8th. 

In the Tweet, Parker said, “ARod is in the building for Timberwolves – Clippers in LA! #ClipperNation”. The Timberwolves pulled off an upset and beat the Clippers 108-101. Rodriguez shared an Instagram Story celebrating the big win over his Western Conference rivals.

This season, Rodriguez has gotten more and more involved with the team and looks to be extremely passionate about it. Furthermore, he has been seen at games regularly, cheering for his players. He and Lore currently own 40% of the Timberwolves, having paid the second installment last year. But they still have one installment left to pay.

A-Rod and Lore have the option to buy a further 40% stake in the Minnesota Timberwolves

Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore currently own 40% of the Minnesota Timberwolves in total, each owning 20%. They now have the option to buy another 40%, 20% each for them. This would make them the majority owners of the basketball franchise. But they have to make the decision by 31st of December this year.
