There are difficult times in every athlete’s career when there are doubts about their future. The same was the case with Aaron Hicks, who was released by the Yankees last month because of poor performances in the fifth year of his $70 million contract. Hicks was one favorite among the Yankees fanbase but had a tough last two seasons and an even worse start to this season. But the situation has taken 180 degrees for the 33-year-old left fielder. Since his move to Baltimore, things have improved for Hicks, who continues to impress his critics. In the latest game, Hicks played brilliantly. Even though his effort fell short of the win, but has found appreciation from baseball fans, including the lost ones.

Notably, Hicks contributed to two RBIs and a home run. He finished the game with an average of 0.250 and an OPS of 1.250. In the last five outings, the former Yankees has scored five runs and has three RBIs to his name. He is averaging 0.400 and has an OPS of over 1.200.
Meanwhile, with these performances, Hicks has scored more than half of the run he recorded for the Pinstripes this season. He played 28 games for New York this season and had only nine runs at an average of 0.188. His OPS was 0.524, with a WAR of -0.5, which made the situation unfavorable for his stay at the Yankees.
Though the 33-year-old has moved to the arch-rivals, the support of the Yankees fans for the player has not died. They have joined others to appreciate Hicks.
