The Boston Red Sox is a storied franchise in the MLB. They have won 9 World Series titles with the most recent one coming in 2018. The Red Sox are known for their long-standing rivalry with the New York Yankees and their trademark jerseys. One NHL team decided to pay tribute to the Red Sox in a unique way.

This team is none other than the Boston Bruins, the NHL team based out of Boston. The Bruins recently played a game at Fenway Park and decided to honor the Red Sox in a really special way.

The whole Bruins squad wore throwback Boston Red Sox uniforms to honor the baseball franchise

The Boston Bruins recently played a game at Fenway Park, the home of the Red Sox. Before the game, the Bruins decided to honor the MLB team by wearing their jerseys. But they didn’t wear any ordinary jerseys, the whole squad was dressed up in throwback uniforms. Jomboy Media shared a video of the Bruins squad making their way toward their game in the Red Sox uniform.

Jomboy Media shared the video and said “The Bruins pulled up to their game at Fenway wearing throwback Red Sox uniforms”. The full Red Sox outfit was a major trip down memory lane for some.

Fans reacted to the Bruins wearing the uniforms with a lot of positivity. Some lauded the NHL team for their efforts while others complimented them for how they looked wearing the uniforms.

This was a positive moment for Red Sox fans as they got to see these nostalgic jerseys. Furthermore, the team has not had a lot to celebrate this offseason, From Xander Bogaerts signing elsewhere in Free Agency to overpaying for players.

The Boston Red Sox have had a poor offseason so far. They lost their franchise player in Xander Bogaerts and have done little to offset that loss of star power. The Red Sox signed Masataka Yoshida to a 5-year $90 million deal according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

While this is a good deal to bolster their weak outfield, many believe that the Red Sox overpaid for the Japanese star. In addition to this, they have made more signings.
