“Broke Their Little Maple Leaf”: 24 Hours After Being Accused of Cheating, Aaron Judge Silences Toronto Blue Jays Fans With a Powerful Move

In a truly peculiar regular-season game that will be etched in Yankees’ lore, a series of astonishing events unfolded. It started with Domingo German getting ousted for a foreign substance, and the Yankees bullpen giving up a three-run lead in the fifth. All this was happening while the umpiring crew diligently monitored the positioning of the first- and third-base coaches in the midst of the dramatic turn of events from yesterday.

However, in a moment where all eyes were literally and figurately on Aaron Judge’s eyes, the New York Yankees captain, Aaron Judge, emerged as the real winner, as he unleashed a game-defining two-run homer in the eighth inning.

With all ‘eyes’ on him, Aaron Judge had a fitting response to the Jays

This blast not only propelled the Yankees to a 6-3 triumph over the Blue Jays but also shattered a maple leaf perched atop Rogers Centre’s second deck. Moreover, as he walked back to the dugout, Judge covered his eyes in response to all the cheating taunts about his wavering eyes from the previous day.

The game was leveled at 3-3 until Judge smashed a two-run homer in the eighth, and Isiah Kiner-Falefa scored in the ninth, as the Yanks went 2-0 up in the away series.

After the game, the Yankees leader spoke about the chaotic and bizarre game, and the various events happening at different places, complemented by the fan boos and manager’s chirping.

Judge said, “I just describe it as, we’re here to play baseball. We’re focused on one thing, and it’s between the lines of what we’ve got to do to win those nine innings of the game every night. When you’ve got all nine guys in the lineup focused on that one thing, any distractions or noise outside of that doesn’t bother us. We’ve got a job to do on the field.”

All Yankees fans were elated, to say the least. The game turned out exactly as they would have hoped, and it was befitting when Judge broke the shackles with a two-run homer. In addition to that, YES Network also zoomed into Judge’s eyes as a part of the coverage, to really show whether Judge would repeat the side-eyed peak again, which fans thought was a stunning response.
