Even though Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez are not together anymore, their four-year-long relationship continues to make headlines. Together, they were set to become a billionaire power couple with their massive net worths and multitudes of investments. However, the highlight of their ventures as a couple would be their failed deal to buy the MLB franchise, New York Mets.
The two had a group of investors with them to buy the team, including the billionaire Marc Lore. The group did not leave any chance behind to get the deal done in their favor. While Steve Cohen was close to finalizing the deal, A-Rod gave his all to get the deal in his favor. Thus, as a last resort to stealing the deal from the current owner of the Mets, A-Rod and JLo tried to do something that was never done in MLB history.

But considering his history in the game and his connections with performance-enhancing drugs, the group thought it might affect the sale.
