The Arizona Diamondbacks faced a happy problem as they triumphed in the National League Wild Card Series. With that, they gear up for Division Series, best-of-five against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 5-2 wrap up win in the best-of-three against the Milwaukee Brewers came with a conflict of interest, though.

The iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses was scheduled to perform on 11th October at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix. However, due to Thursday’s baseball game outcome, they had to be flexible with their event planning. A bittersweet event for fans indeed.

Since the D-Backs now require the ballpark for the night’s game, they had to politely request the band who had announced their world tour in February to make amends. Quite cooperatively, Guns N’ Roses ended up moving their concert to a different venue, Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater. The concert will go on as planned on the same date, October 11. With that, Guns N’ Roses left a sweet message for D-Backs, ‘So Fine’.

The band, on their official website, said, “Guns N’ Roses send their congratulations to the Arizona Diamondbacks making it to the next round of the MLB playoffs”. Arizona’s official account even tweeted, assuring all individuals affected by the sudden change of plans would “receive fair and equitable compensation”. With that reassuring message, D-Backs get ready for a really special event.

As the D-Backs successfully managed to settle the dispute, they prepared for Game 3 against the Dodgers. It is a big deal for them to head to the NL Division Series, having suffered two of a 110-loss season. A monumental moment that it is, the Diamondbacks Manager share a few words.

Diamondbacks’ Rise To Glory

Torey Lovullo, after the Brewers’ sweep, said, “Considering what we’ve walked through and the dark times that we had, this is a pretty special moment. There’s a lot of emotion inside of this organization, inside of this clubhouse right now.” This would mark the franchise’s first NL division series appearance since 2017. This is not the only reason that makes it special for Arizona.

Arizona demonstrated its tenacity by bouncing back impressively. They overcame a 3-0 early deficit in Game 1 to defeat Milwaukee ace Corbin Burnes. On Wednesday, they were down 2-0 and went the first 4 2/3 innings without recording a hit. Yet, they managed to sweep the Brewers. Best wishes to the team for NLDS.
