Running multi-million dollar business ventures is not an easy task. But MLB legend Alex Rodriguez does it every day, managing the variety of projects he has invested in. While doing so, he has built a massive business empire and a net worth of $350 million. Most recently, A-Rod shared a golden rule that he follows while hiring top-level executives. 

The former New York Yankees legend works on many projects year-round. This requires having people he trusts in important roles. Rodriguez has recently shared one factor that is extremely important when he hires his top executives.

Since retiring from baseball, Alex Rodriguez has established himself in the business world. But he would not be able to manage all of his different ventures without people he trusts. Most recently, the Yankees legend revealed a golden rule that he follows while hiring top executives. Rodriguez will always visit the house of a person he’s considering for a high role. Furthermore, he considers dirty and messy houses a bad sign. During a recent keynote event with Possible, A-Rod shared this rule of his.

During the session, Rodriguez said, “I’ll never hire someone at a really high executive level without visiting their home. Now, I’ve made the mistake once that I hired someone that’s no longer with us. I’m not gonna mention the name. But a few months after I hired them for this big job, I went to their house, and the house was a slob. It was a mess; it was a disaster. And, if I would’ve visited the house first, I would’ve never hired that person.”

These are wise words from a top businessman who has been compared to Bill Gates for his real estate investments. But despite all of his ventures, A-Rod is able to take breaks from his work and enjoy time off as well. This is something he was unable to do during his baseball career.

A-Rod takes three weeks to a month off every year

Alex Rodriguez takes three weeks to a month off every year and travels to Europe. The former Yankees legend has been doing so for the past 3 years in order to relax and enjoy a holiday. During that time, he focuses on only two things, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and his real estate ventures. Other than that, he puts his other ventures to the side and enjoys his break. This is possible because A-Rod has full control of his schedule and the right people around him.
