He was shown a picture of himself when he was a kid and asked, “Who styled you right here?” Jeter, laughing, said, “That’s all me right there. I mean there’s nowhere to go but downhill after that. Butterfly collar. I do have to get on my dad a little bit, he used to cut my hair back in the day”

He gestured to the photo smiling, and continued, “So he’s responsible for this. I don’t really know what you call it. That should be a cover right there! I like that picture though.”

Not only did he style his son’s hair, but he also instilled a love for the sport in Jeter at a young age. Having played baseball in college, Jeter’s father recognized his son’s potential and pushed him to pursue the sport. And Jeter, who took to the game effortlessly became who he is today. He is also a part of Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation and has been with his kids every step of the way.
