The off-season has slowed down for the New York Yankees as Spring Training draws near. The Yankees are unlikely to make any more additions before training starts for all players. But some more deals may take place closer to Opening Day. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the off-season goes before the whole squad reports for the season. 

Valentine’s Day just passed and some Yankee players were training despite that. But the Yankee’s official Twitter account had a special surprise for its loyal fans and followers.

The New York Yankees shared some special Valentine’s Day cards for fans

Valentine’s Day recently took place with some New York Yankees players training like any other day. But the Yankees’ official Twitter account had a special surprise for fans. They shared several Valentine’s Day cards for fans to enjoy. Among them were cards based on Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo, Judge and Rizzo together, and Judge and Rizzo’s dogs. For those unversed, Judge and Rizzo both have Dachshunds. In fact, Rizzo used the relationship between his dog and Judge’s dog to get Judge to sign a new contract. 

In the Tweet, the Yankees said, “We make the perfect pair 😊”. The cards contained some funny puns as well. One of them had a picture of Judge and the card read, “You’re the Captain of My Heart”.

New York Yankees’ Resident Giant Aaron Judge Once Shared an Uncanny Similarity to Retired NFL Great JJ Watt

Fans have shown an outpouring of support for these Valentine’s cards. Some lauded the Rizzo and Judge card. Others were happy to see the two Yankees star dogs, Judge’s Dachshund Penny and Rizzo’s Dachshund Kevin. 

The Yankees will be hoping that Judge and Rizzo are both on top of their game going into the 2023 season. The New York-based team will be hoping to achieve more than they did last year in the postseason.

The Yankees will be aiming for the World Series this season

The New York Yankees had a fantastic 2022 season where they won 99 games. They were led by Aaron Judge who won the 2022 AL MVP award. But the team will be aiming to do better in the postseason. In 2022, they had a great run before being knocked out in the ALCS. The Yankees will be aiming to at least make the World Series.
